Making a statement in 8-0 win

As the season starts to wind down, the Cyclones need to collect as many wins as possible. They made sure to make a statement in their 8-0 blanking of College of DuPage.

It wasn't until about six minutes in when the Cyclones first scored off a corner kick header, but once they did, they couldn't stop. Fernando Barragan scored on a breakaway at the 29-minute mark and Declan Kelly did the same 30 seconds later. By halftime, the Cyclones were up 3-0.

They continued controlling the ball and allowing few scoring chances for the Chaparrals. Two minutes into the second half, Barragan passed to Colin Kroll who shot it over the keeper's head. Kelly and Michael Strama also had one-on-one faceoffs with the keeper on breakaways.

All in all, Aldo Lagunas and Kelly each scored twice while Gael Arriaga, Barragan, Kroll and Strama each scored one. Even with all the offense, the Chaparral goalkeeper fended off the many Cyclone strikes.
