Cyclones dominate in season opener

The last time the Cyclones played a regulation game was Oct. 29, 2019. They were more than happy to be back in action and dominated College of Lake County in their season opener.

Although they're still working out the flow and sharpness on the field, the Cyclones handily won 4-1. Michael Strama opened scoring with an assist from Fernando Barragan to put his team ahead 1-0. The Lancers were able to tie things up with their lone goal, but in the 65th minute, Strama placed the ball for Declan Kelly to give the Cyclones the 2-1 edge. Marco Calixto scored off a corner kick from Rafael Soto, and Strama and Barragan tag teamed again to add the final nail in the coffin with two minutes to go.
