Cyclones shut out Statesmen

This was the way to start off the season. The Cyclones shut out Kennedy-King College 2-0 in a game that highlighted their offensive and defensive strengths.

This was not an easy win, but was helped by a strong defensive performance by the back line, especially newcomer Jacob Rispin. The Cyclones showed power offensively on set pieces, which helped tally the goals. Connor Baker kept a tight rein as goalkeeper, and the Statesmen didn't get many scoring chances as a result. Vasili Vouris (assists by Fernando Alvarez and Shun Tanaka) and Jesus Martinez (assists by Vouris and Jonathan Vasquez) scored.
