Conference final

Just as quickly as it started, the Cyclones regular season ended with a conference match at Blackberry Oaks Golf Course.

In this final conference match, the Cyclones finished fourth, just three strokes behind Oakton College in third. It was a battle for the conference championship, however, and the Cyclones took third overall for the season after a tie for the top spot between Elgin Community College and Oakton. Although the Cyclones finished third in the conference, they narrowly missed second by less than one stroke.

Leading the way this outing was Matt Pawyza with 77 followed closely by Joey Charleston with 78. They each earned All-Conference honors based on their season average. Charleston earned eighth All-Conference with a 77, and Pawyza earned 10th All-Conference with a 79.75 average.

Coming in after the duo was Fionn Gormley with an 81, Anderson Miz with 86 and Dominick Rallo with 88.

"We played pretty well. Fionn had a real good day, that was a career best for him. Matt and Joey earned All-Conference, which is always a goal for any of our players," said Head Coach Matt Lovelace.

The Cyclones have until April when they compete in the NJCAA Region 4 Championship.
