Working their nerves out, the Cyclones competed in their first tournament, the Highland 36, where they finished 10th overall.
The first outing is always hardest, especially with fast greens and tight tees. Despite the nerves, almost every Cyclone improved in the second round. Sophomore Akim Bizati led the way (80, 88) followed by Paul Douglas (90, 80), Marty Bennett (89, 85), Michael Rollberg (98, 98) and Patrick Clifton (104, 99).
Next up for the Cyclones is a conference outing on Aug. 28 at the Sportsman's Country Club in Northbrook.
