Solid Skyway Outing Leads to Fourth

In their opening conference and home match yesterday, the Cyclones played well, but it wasn't enough to surpass the competition as they finished fourth.

The match at Cog Hill saw perfect weather on a soft course. Players put up good scores all around and took advantage of the weather with the low round of the day coming from Oakton at a 68.

"The competition was tight, and it's going to be a great fall season. Moraine Valley played well and had a team score that averaged 80 for four golfers. Normally that would be a great day, however today it was good enough for fourth," said Coach Matt Lovelace.

The Cyclones tallied a 320 with sophomore Thomas Rodriquez leading the way posting a round of 78. He struggled during the last few holes but managed to hold everything together. Freshman Akim Bizati also had a good day, just one stroke behind his teammate with a 79. James Goich (81), Paul Douglas (82) and Sean McKernan (85) rounded out the scoring.
