The Cyclones were back to their scoring ways in their game with the nationally ranked Waubonsee Community College Chiefs, however, they were unable to get over the hump and take any lead in the 91-81 loss.
Down early, the Cyclones trailed the Chiefs seven to 10 points most of this game, down 47-37 at halftime. Although they made some gains in the second half, with both teams each scoring 44, it wasn't enough for Moraine Valley to get a lead.
Jelani McGregor had a big-scoring game with 29 points, going 5-for-6 from the free-throw line, along with six rebounds and three steals. Amarion Johnson collected 15 points while Juvon Crawford had 13 and Deven Jiles scored 10. Yousef Jarad led under the basket with seven rebounds.
