Cyclones fall to Panthers in season opener

After a year of waiting, the Cyclones were finally able to compete again. They faced their always formidable rival, Morton College, but lost the affair 81-71.

For most of the first half, the Cyclones held a lead, but they lost some steam late and trailed by four at halftime. The second half saw more of the same. The Cyclones played hard, but had some dry spells on offense, ultimately leading to their season-opening loss.

In his first double-double of the season, Christopher Harrison led the offense with 15 points, 10 rebounds and six assists. Deandre Hagan and Trevon Jones each had 12 points for the night. Hagan tacked on nine rebounds and four assists.
