Cyclones fall to Stormers in semis

Fouls and missed free throws were the culprit in the Cyclones' 93-83 loss to nationally ranked Milwaukee Area Technical College in the NJCAA Region IV semifinals.

The Cyclones knew they were facing a tough foe in the No. 16 Stormers, but they held strong and had opportunities to win. For the first 15 minutes, Moraine Valley held a lead, but foul trouble kept two starters out, including Cortez King. He played only 10 minutes the entire game because he was in danger of fouling out. The Cyclones also missed 16 free throws.

Michael Drynan led the effort with 24 rebounds, 17 points and seven blocks. Jalen Hughes had 16 points and six assists while Maurice Chambers banked 14 and Elijah Ward finished with a double-double (11 points, 12 rebounds).
