The Cyclones struggled at the plate in their doubleheader with Elgin Community College, dropping both games.

GAME ONE
In the first inning, the Cyclones came within one run of the Spartans after Andrew Phelan (2-for-3) and Alejandro Munoz (2-for-3) each singled before Timothy O'Connell (2-for-3, 2 RBIs) drove both of them home on a triple.

Neither team scored until the fifth inning when the Spartans scored five more to extend their lead. The Cyclones had several hits but were unable to get any base runners across home plate in the 10-2 loss. Christian Rosales also had a hit this game.

They held the Spartans to three runs until a five-run seventh. Phelan, O'Connell, Munoz, Troy Vosburgh and Xavier Aguilar each had a hit with Munoz collecting a triple. Lucas Hicks was tough on the mound with seven strikeouts, allowing five runs.
