Miller's grand slam not enough to overcome Wolves

William Miller helped his team take a lead after hitting a grand slam in the first inning, but a couple of rough defensive innings for the Cyclones dealt them a loss to Joliet Junior College.

The game didn't break open for the Wolves until the fifth and sixth innings, where they scored 15 runs. Before that, the Cyclones allowed just five runs and led by two. The Cyclones collected 10 hits total with Robert Warchol (1-for-4, 1 stolen base) earning two RBIs, Miller (2-for-2) with the four, and Maximus Bullock (2-for-3, 2 stolen bases), Winston Hill II (2 2B, 2-for-4) and Colin Bulger (1-for-1) each earning one in the 21-9 loss.

Jack Riemen started on the mound. The righthander went one inning, allowing two runs on two hits and walking one. Ryan McEvoy took the loss, surrendering five runs on four hits over one-third of an inning, walking one.
