Coming off an exciting victory over Kankakee Community College, the Cyclones continued their playoff run against Madison College. They stayed in this game, but struggled to contain the WolfPack offense in the final innings.

The Cyclones jumped ahead first with three runs in the second off a Gerald Powell (1-for-4, 3 RBIs) three-run dinger and another by Thomas Moran (1-for-3, RBI) in the third. Brenden Butler (1-for-3, double, RBI) earned the other run in the fifth to put his team up 5-2 until the bottom of the fifth inning when the WolfPack found their bats. Madison tied it up and then extended their lead to shut down the Cyclones 11-5.

Richie Kiernicki started the game going four innings, allowing four runs on six hits and striking out six. Timothy Dobrik took the loss, allowing four runs on six hits and striking out one.
