Cyclones fall short to Trojans

The Cyclones were able to get outside yesterday and face a tough Triton College team, falling short in the 9-5 effort.

The Trojans got on the board in the first inning but the Cyclones tied things up in the second on a single from Kyel Alexander. Although the Trojans battled back to regain the lead, Moraine Valley fought the following innings on hits from Niles Gall (1-for-2, 2 RBIs, double), Gerald Powell (2-for-4, 1 RBI, 1 run scored) and Antulio Esparza (2-for-5, 1 RBI, double). Collectively, the Cyclones racked up seven hits. Ryan Czajowski started on the hill, striking out three and allowing eight hits and six runs over four innings. Timothy Dobrik and Richie Kiernicki threw in relief.
