Equity in Athletics

The Moraine Valley Community College Athletics Department is required by the Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) to submit data as a postsecondary institution that receives Title IV funding and has an intercollegiate athletics program. These statistics on athletic participation, staffing, and revenues and expenses by men's and women's teams are provided for public use in comparing Moraine Valley Community College's athletics equity to other institutions of higher learning. These statistics are compiled from July 1 through June 30 of the previous year.

The EADA was designed to make prospective student-athletes aware of an institution of higher education’s commitment to providing equitable athletic opportunities for all its students. The EADA requires the disclosure of information about varsity teams and the financial resources and personnel the school dedicates to those teams.

Data collected in this survey is published by the Office of Postsecondary Education on the Equity in Athletics Data Analysis website. The data in this survey is provided by institutions in accordance with the EADA and may not be the same as data used for determining compliance with Federal or state laws, including Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972.
